It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Stop throwing away reusable dishes!
Everytime I eat at a restaurant and receive a to-go tray, I alway find a way to reuse it when I am at home. This means after I heat it up and eat out of it, I don't toss the tray, but instead wash it and store it in my tupperware! Most people think throwing it away is easiest so they don't have to do extra work. But, saving these dishes would benefit the environment.
My family does the same thing with tupperware. Even though using a lot of plastic is bad, it is good to reuse that plastic for as long as it is possible. Reusing the plastic makes sure that families don't contribute to the massive landfills and all of the plastic that ends up in the oceans. The plastic that ends up in the oceans kills animals, so the extra effort to reuse tupperware is worth it.
My family does a similar thing, we do not use plastic bags unless its absolutely necessary. That means we take containers and real silverware in our lunches. If we do use a plastic bag, we always wash it out and reuse it. I hadn't thought about to-go containers and trays until now, but I think this is a great idea.
My family does not do this at the moment, however it seems like a great idea to conserve and throw out less garbage. Thank you for the suggestion!
