I think that reusable water bottles should become more common. Many people don't use a reusable water bottle and just buy many plastic bottles. Even if you have a plastic bottle, you can use it again buy just filling it up again. This would help save a lot of plastic that goes into our landfills. Also, straws are another big plastic item that is every where.  People should reuse their straws. Here in Oakland, boba (or bubble tea) is very popular and people use a lot of straws drinking it. You could, instead of throwing the straws away, wash and bring them to your next trip to get boba. In addition to this, when in a restaurant you should decline the straws that the waiters give you for your water.
