Reuse & Repurpose

It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Share your ideas for extending the “lives” of the items that we buy and use, and their packaging as well!

Disposable Products do not need to be thrown away Immediately

Ideally, we wouldn't use disposable products at all, such as plastic bags or disposable water bottles. However, often times it is impossible to avoid buying or obtaining such products that are not recyclable. In order to minimize the ecological damage, the best thing to do with these disposable products would be to reuse and re purpose them, in order to prolong their lifespan and to keep yourself from buying more of the same disposable product. For example, I am a very forgetful person, and I have lost every single metal, reusable water bottle I have ever had. As such, I use the same plastic water bottle for a very long time, in order to not lose something dear to me, and so that I'm not just buying plastic bottle after plastic bottle. Another example would be of reusing plastic bags. If my mom gets plastic bags, she then eventually re purposes them and gives them to me to carry my lunch in. This minimizes the future damage I could cause by getting more plastic ba gs then I need to. This is just a small situation of reuse  and re purpose, but still nonetheless helps the situation, and could make a massive difference if more people reused like this.
