It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

DIY: Reuse and Repurpose
Lots of household items can be reused and repurposed into useful materials. For example, old ketchup bottles can be turned into a pancake squirter. Instead of throwing away, the plastic ketchup bottle and contributing to the tons of trash thrown away, we can reuse it and create a new purpose for the ketchup bottle. Another example of creative repurposing is taking wire hangers and turning them into wreathes. Mason jars can be used for storing items and as food containers. A mint or tic-tac container can be turned into a bobby pin holder. Bags that line cereal can be turned into icing bags or as storage bags. These are just a few disposable items that can be repurposed for more than one use. On top of helping the environment by throwing away items, we can save money too. By repurposing regular household items, we can save money instead of going out and buying something new. What other ways can we repurpose household items?
