It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reuse and Repurpose
Repurposing used goods can be beneficial to both the community and environment. Gently used clothes and toys can be dropped off at community recycling facilities or donated to thrift stores/restores. Outgrown clothes can be handed down to younger family members. Clothes which can no longer be worn can be reused as rags or dust cloth. Using the other blank side of a printed paper as a scratch paper is also beneficial.
Gently used building materials can be reused in construction to build homes and divert waste from landfills. Gently used furniture and appliances can be donated to home improvement stores and donation centers like Habitat for Humanity. This can provide gently household items and furniture for others out use.
Through these actions, tons of waste can be diverted from landfills, and home items are available for re-use by people in your community, and will also provide employment to people in the community.
I completely agree with your statement but I think doing more than resuing clothes is necessary to help our environment. I think cutting down on one use items such as plastic water bottles or little chip bags or even plastic bags from stores. Creating less waste is great for the environment and is better for our atmosphere. I like your idea of using the blank side of the paper for scratch paper is beneficial. Using all these ideas you would be able to save a lot of money and make our community better and create less pollution.
