It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reusing Bags
Many people use bags one time and throw them away. But they do not know a plastic bag can take from 15 to 1,000 years to break down, depending on environment. When we use reusable bags we are reducing the amount of CO2 we release into the atmosphere. Making plastic shopping bags requires the burning of fossil fuels, the cutting down of trees and, in some cases, the use of unfair labor practices. Reusable bags help cut down on the emission of dangerous greenhouse gases. When I go to the store I make sure to bring my reusable bag. It may not seem like you are making a difference by reusing bags but in reality you are reducing the amount of CO2 being released.
