It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Recycling IS important!!
If you already recycle then that is great! If you do not recycle you should probably start out doing that. Instead of just throwing things away in the recycle bin think of what you could use that recycling for in your house. Extra cardboard from a package or present? Use it as something for school, save it for a project later on. Have some extra bottles? Just wash them and reuse them for all sorts of things around the house!
I agree that recycling is important mainly because of my parents emphasized it while I was younger but I also believe it's important because so many people waste materials that could be reused for a different purpose. The most important why recycling is important is because it a has a positive impact on the planet. (http://www.recycling-guide.org.uk/importance.html) gives lots of reasons why recycling is good for example it reduces pollution caused by waste, recycling requires much less energy and therefore helps to preserve natural resources, recycling reduces the need for raw materials so that the rainforests can be preserved, reduces waste, reduce financial expenditure in the economy and Preserve natural resources for future generations. Recycling reduces the need for raw materials; it also uses less energy, therefore preserving natural resources for the future. These are reasons why recycling is important and good.
Recycling is always very important but I believe that reusing old items is another great way to lower your carbon footprint. For example, you can use an old tissue box as a toothbrush holder. You can also do something as simple as reusing an old plastic bottle. Recycling and reusing are very important for decreasing a carbon footprint.
Recycling is important and I think more companies should use recycled goods if not in products in the workplace.
Agreed
yeah, I agree, but I think that a reason that some people don't recycle that much is because they don't know what they can recycle, or that they didn't recycle much when they were younger, so I think that some people should go to public places and places like schools and colleges to tell and inform people about recycling and what goes where.
I agree, recycling is very important to building a sustainable world.
Recycling is more important than we think it is.
Agreed, I think we need more recycle friendly coffee cups for iced drinks.
I usually try to reuse some of my plastic bottles and things that I would normally throw out but I never get into it at all and end up throwing them away anyway. Can I have some ideas to help me with the reusing part or should I focus on the other parts of recycling
Recycling is important, but it can be hard to tell what is actually recyclable sometimes.
Recycling is very important, but also try to reuse things, like bottles.
