It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reuse! Reuse! Resue!
I think almost every appliance we have can be reused. From food containers, grocery bags, water bottles, etc. There are so many uses in everyday items, we just need to look at a bigger picture. A few weeks ago I started to bring my water bottle to school instead of using a plastic water bottle. It may seem like a small thing but I was using a new water bottle every day and just throwing it away. Now not only am I saving only but I am also helping the environment. It would help a lot if we started reusing what we have.
I agree with this, I think we should start reusing more items that we use in our everyday life. Everyone can improve in this even me I do also bring plastic water bottles to school and after I'm done I throw them away when I could be using a reusable water bottle. As a community, we have started to improve this with grocery bags but still, we buy grocery bags because we either forget them or don't want to buy a reusable one which makes us buy a bag out of the store. Although, it is not all of the community not using reusable bags it would help if more of us started to be considered and start reusing the items we have.
Hi Hello What are your lifestyles and family's activities? Also Where you from?
A lot of the appliances that we use and get rid of, can easily be fixed up and sold to someone that really needs it. Also, giving clothes away to places like Goodwill and thrift stores are better than throwing them away in the trash. You could also try to fix up older electronics rather thank trying to throw them away or buy a charger for reusable batteries too.
I completely agree with this! There are so many ways humans can reuse and recycle every day. Even if it is as little as using a metal water bottle instead of a plastic one, it still helps. We can reuse materials, food, and so much more. There are so many places and things that could benefit from recycled items, so it is very important we don't waste them. The link below has many examples of thing that could easily be recycled. People need to work together to make the world a better place.

I agree
Indeed, according to https://www.banthebottle.net/bottled-water-facts/, the average American uses about 167 plastic bottles a year. All that plastic could stop being used if everyone used a water bottle.
It is true that people should reuse things, even the small things count. From the website I found apparently, it takes about 3 times less heart to reuse newsprint, about 8 times less heat to recycle PET plastic, and 4 times less heart to reuse HDPE plastic, and 20 times less energy when recycling aluminum. If we recycled we could use less heat and not emit as much CO2 from the heating. Americans also produce 30% of the world's trash and represent on 5% of the world's population. Lastly, Americans throw away enough aluminum to produce an entire fleet of airplanes every three months. I found this information at http://www.irondequoit.org/community/gr … or-recycle.
I think using a reusable bottle is a great way to help reduce plastic waste and recycle what we already have. After doing some research, I've found that other things around our houses can be recycled. For example, Best Buy offers discounts on some electronics when you bring your old ones in to them to recycle. I think this is a great alternative to throwing our old appliances away to be dumped in a landfill, and if everyone could to something small like this, then the amount of waste we produce could be greatly reduced.
The reusable water bottle idea was fantastic and you are right that it is making a difference. The idea of recycling appliances is great and we need to minimize our waste. The materials in our home appliances can be used for new items, this concept of reusing and utilizing the materials that we have is great.
I agree what else what else can you do
I agree with all of these ideas. I also think another important aspect of reusing and repurposing is inspiring others to do the same. By setting an example of reusing plastic water bottles, others can follow and do the same. We can also encourage people in our school, friend group, or community to reuse objects.
