It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reuse everyday items?
If we all repurpose everyday objects, we can work towards saving the planet and the oceans of the world. Plastic is constantly being thrown out and surprisingly, most of it goes to the oceans rather than landfills. According to the Natural History Museum, there is up to almost thirteen million tons of plastic going to our oceans per year. This, unfortunately, will negatively affect the aquatic animals that confuse food for this plastic. After learning this, I strongly believe that it is more important now than ever to begin reproducing the plastic items we use and refrain from using plastic as much as we can.
The number one type of plastic that pollutes the ocean are the plastic bottles from bottled water. Bottles water is said to be healthier when all bottled water is basically all the same tap water. The company basically trick the people from buying the bottled water for profit, but they forget about the consequences that can occur from the bottled water getting into the ocean. Animals eat bottle particles, which can kill them.
I agree we can also take steps to make sure that we have biodegradable plates and forks and knives for when whether or not we use our own water bottles or everyday items is out of our control. There are many places we can find biodegradable utensils, napkins, and plates we just need to make sure we are taking all the proper steps toward making a cleaner environment.
