Reuse & Repurpose

It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Share your ideas for extending the “lives” of the items that we buy and use, and their packaging as well!

Using Reusable bags

wolfgang_tk

Using reusable bags is a much better option than using a plastic bag. Plastic bags are really bad for the environment because it takes them anywhere from 15-1000 years to decompose. Paper bags aren't that good either because they take. Using reusable bags also prevent animals from dying. Every year around 1 million birds die, 100,000 turtles, and many other sea creatures die every year. By buying reusable bags you'll be reducing your carbon foot print.

I agree with your statement. If we use plastic bags we are hurting the oceans and increasing our carbon footprint. But, if we use reusable bags we won't have to use oil to create plastic making our carbon footprints smaller.

I agree with what you are saying. My mom always reuses her plastic bags when she goes shopping so she won't use another one. I think if we could reduce our plastic consume the planet would be much better

These statistics are great, and I truly believe this is super true, I believe it would be helpful to try to reuse paper bags if you have them to make sure to save as many trees as possible. Thanks for your insights, these are great

I agree with this. Why keep buying plastic bags just to throw them away? If we all use reusable bags then we will be saving a lot of resources. Not only will we do that but we will save the lives of many animals who lose their lives to choking on plastic and things of that sort.

I definitely agree with your statement. Plastic and paper bags are not safe, nor is it helping our environment. Using reusable bags safes many animal's lives who suffer from coming in contact with these plastic and paper bags. Along with this, reusing bags increases your carbon footprints so it's helping the environment no matter what.
