It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reuse and Repurpose
It is completely true that people do not reuse and repurpose as much as they could which has serious impacts on our planet. There are many simple ways to reuse and repurpose including re-selling old clothing, reusing containers, and composting. Giving old clothing to someone who may need it not only reduces the price but also takes it off the hands of the previous owner, who may not want it anymore (but without just throwing it out). We can reuse containers in many ways such as to plant or hold items. Many people use their containers to start seedlings or in their household as a pencil holder, watering can, and more! Composting uses scraps of different kinds and puts them together for use in the garden planting food, flowers, or other plants.
Overall, if we start to think more about how we can reuse and repurpose previously used items, our planet’s trash numbers and pollution will decrease. This will create a better environment for all and lessen the negative effects on Earth.
