Reuse & Repurpose

It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Share your ideas for extending the “lives” of the items that we buy and use, and their packaging as well!

Reusing

Reusing shows up in many forms two of them are conventional reuse and creative reuse. Conventional reuse is when a product or material is used again for its original intended purpose. We see a lot of this kind of reuse at Home ReSource when people take home sinks, toilets, cabinets, trim, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, doors, and other items to use them for their original intended purpose. At home, we should also keep in mind to maybe take an extra bag for groceries hopping or just in general to not repeatedly keep using plastic bags. Now creative reuse is when an additional value is added, through innovation or creativity, to a product or material to create something unique with an entirely new function. We can always make art out of our plastic cups, plates, bags, and more innovative objects.

I like your idea of conventional and creative reuse. This way, people around the world can no how they are reusing, and can figure out which type of reuse is best for certain things that they want to repurpose.

I also was thinking about the possible creative uses for reusing and recycling. You can do that in a lot in different ways like using paper shopping bags  and newspaper to make wrapping paper or using bottles as stamps. There are lots of ways to reuse objects for crafts and art. People usually don't think of things like that. Also, people use reclaimed wood and vintage decor in their homes. Another conventional way to reuse is buying clothes from thrift stores, or getting hand-me-downs. There are many ways to be more environmentally friendly in your daily life that are fun and creative, and a lot of people can do them.
