It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Recycling and why we need more of it
Not to toot my own horn or anything but at home I recycle everything I possibly can. However though, when I’m at school or other locations this isn’t necessarily true. In addition I noticed that according to national statistics people don’t recycle as much as they could. A couple things can be done to correct this. First local and state governments could make some changes. For example in smaller towns such as the one I live in charge a fee to recycle. A reduction or removal of the fee would encourage recycling. Additional more city wide recycling cans also encourage recycling in public places. Thirdly, as a populous people need to start talking more about recycling and how to utilize it and optimize it.
I completely agree with you. I believe that because we are given so many options, we take advantage of what's around us. If fees are charged, people definitely would recycle and reuse more. I know that Starbucks now has changed to using paper straws. Many people dislike it because in the drink the straw begins to turn soggy. This forces them to use their metal staws which benefits the purpose of reusing items, therefore, saving the use of plastic which ultimately would have affected the animals in the ocean.
I agree with you. I think people should be recycling as much as they can. Recycling is very simple and everyone should do it. Also, many people buy plastic water bottles. They could switch to reusable water bottles and recycle the plastic ones. Recycling is very easy to do. You can just bring all of your recyclables to your local recycling center and even get some money back!
