I hate to say it, but there is no way that I could give up things like my computer and my phone. I realize that using these things create a very large footprint in my life, but with the world being as "techy" as it is there is no way to give them up. At school we use computers everyday to cut down on the amount of paper we use, but does using technology make it any better for the environment. When was the last time you sent a hand written email? I only send them to say happy birthday to a relative, but other than that I send emails, and texts, and make phone calls. I think the only way that I would give up my technology is if the rest of the world did too. Even my grandparents have phones and computers because they realize how difficult it would be to get along in the advanced world we live in without them. I do think it is a shame that I cannot give up my technology, but I think I can compensate in other ways, like spending as little time as possible using my phone or computer.

I agree that Technology would be hard to live without. This is because it is such a huge part of our world. Everything revolves around technology and it makes so many things so much more convenient  and effortless. I know personally I would not be able to get around without my phone. I often have to drive to places that I have never been and the only way I am able to to get there and back is by having google maps on my phone. Often we take it for granted but without technology things would take a lot more time and effort.
