All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

Shorter Showers
Something that I’m willing to do to help my carbon footprint is to cut my shower time. I take a shower every day, and my showers are usually short, taking about 6-7 minutes. I want to try to lower that number and possibly take a 4 minute shower every day. We use an average of 2.5 gallons per minute from the normal shower head. If I take a 4 minute shower, I could save about 1825 gallons of water per year. Also I’ll be able to save energy that is needed to heat my shower water. In order to make my shower no longer than 4 minutes, I could set a timer and put it next to the shower or play a song that’s no more than 4 minutes and try to finish showering before the song ends.
