All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

The Importance of Recycling: It's So Simple!
I just wanted to take this moment to share with everyone my thoughts on the importance of recycling. First of all, many of us don't realize how easy it to recycle, and how those simple acts can affect our environment in such a big way! Most of our schools, and especially mine, recycle and take it very seriously. For example, if you are drinking something out of a plastic container, and finish it, instead of throwing it in a regular trash can, just find a trash can used to dispose of recycled materials. Things like that don't take any effort at all. At home, I know my family recycles any and everything we can, whether it be glass, paper, plastic, etc. Like I said, it can be as easy as throwing the item in a different bin. Recycling not only saves the environment, but also saves money. It costs about $30 per ton to recycle garbage, $50 to transport it to a landfill, and $70 to incinerate it. I know all of this you have heard before, but it needs to be stressed how we all need to step up and save our environment, and one part in doing that is recycling. So I encourage all o f you, next time you need to throw away a piece of paper or a glass bottle, make sure to recycle it. You're making a bigger difference than you probably realize...
I agree with you entirely. This whole recycling thing some people may think it's just not a big deal but it is. Recycling helps our environment dramatically and I would encourage a lot of people to Recycle whatever they can whenever they can, so thank you for making that point.
