Saving Electricity

laurynmcusa

Electricity is a major part of our society and we need to realize that we could save money and help the environment, if we just do some of these simple things. At http://www.wikihow.com/Save-Electricity#Lighting_sub , many different things that we could do to help save electricity are...
1. Using Natural Lighting- We don't realize that we have a perfect lighting source in the form of the sun. If you can position your work space to receive lots of natural light, you can then unplug those desk lamps and save electricity.
2. Changing bulbs-If you can change your incandescent bulbs to fluorescent or LED, you can have a more energy efficient house. Now, I know LED's are expensive, but this is only one example of many to save electricity.
3. Just TURN OFF the lights- You can save so much electricity, if you just turn off those unnecessary lights and always turn off the lights when you're not using them.
4. And last but not least, UNPLUG those devices! I know I sometimes keep my charger plugged in even when I'm not using it, and this wastes so much energy. If you are not using  a device just unplug it, I promise the cord won't run away. This will save you money and help the environment.
These are just a few things you can do to save electricity and by saving electricity, you're saving the environment.
