All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!
Now It's Time for Action >
unplugging electronics at night and more
Before doing this test, I thought that my carbon footprint was relatively small. However, upon reflection, I have understood that in a country like Switzerland it is obvious that we are way above the world average. In the future, I will definitely use planes less to trave (something I did a lot this year, without considering car pooling or the environmental impact of my actions). Furthermore, I will unplug my phone before going to bed at night. This has two advantages: on the one had, it is more environmentally friendly, and on the other hand it allows me to avoid damaging the batteries of my phone. I will also try to reduce my shower time and use more public transport to get to my school.
