All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

Government involvement in reducing the impact
The government should become involved in the act of reducing the carbon footprint's of its citizens. It is a priority to conserve the world that we live in for our lives and future generations. Most people are not finding the motivation to make large changes in their lifestyles to reduce their personal footprint. The systems set up in several European countries, encourage and reward the reduction of an individuals footprint. These systems are succeeding at motivating the change. More of the world powers should look into similar systems so that we can preserve the precious world we live in.
This is an interesting article about the changes that the European countries have made.

I just found another article. It discusses several efforts that governments have made to improve human interaction with the environment in the past.

Agreed as there is no reason that would push people into the motion of change. We have things such as tax rebates for buying a few things like electric cars, but not many know about this or have any reason to buy them as they are also very expensive as only the new models coming out are a viable form of transportation to be like a normal gas-powered cars. The government needs to really target large businesses like microsoft for example as they would most likely go along happily with these changes as long it supported a profitable business model.
