All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

My name is Gezley Ann. I am originally from the Philippines but I now live in Iceland.
After looking at my carbon footprint, I saw that my largest category was transportation. The result was higher than most people in my country and there are two reasons why. First of all, it is because of where I live. I can’t walk to school because it is 30 minutes away from where I live. I also can’t go shopping because there are no malls in my hometown. So what I do is, I always take the bus to get to school but I carpool with my friends or family whenever I go out of town. The second reason is because I took a roundtrip to Denmark last year. So the largest chunk of my transportation-based footprint came from airline travel. All of my father’s side of the family lives in the Philippines and we used to visit them every year or every two years, but now we visit them every three or four years. The challenges that I encountered when we made this change was definitely homesickness. I was often surprised how intensely I miss my father’s side of the family.
