All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Make a change
I think one thing we need to change is how much food we eat. Our country and our planet, consumes way too much food that it makes us obese. It is damaging us because the more we eat, the bigger we get, and we become too lazy to do things. I think we need to eat healthier and make smarter choices of what we eat. I think if we choose more organic foods and healthier foods, we can reduce our obesity. I think some challenges that might come upon us is money. It takes more time to grow more organic foods than just to conventionally grow our agriculture. Basically, time is money. The more time it takes for us to grow our foods, the more money we will have to pay the farmers and to pay the market for our organic foods.
I agree that as a country we consume too much food and a lot of the food we eat is not healthy. Our country should take initiative to try and educate people on the great effects of healthy foods. We also waste too much food for the amount of people in our that are starving. According to this website, http://endhunger.org/food-waste/ the US wasted 31% of retail food. We tend to throw away food scraps when we could just as easily feed the hungry or use them as leftovers. This website is also a great way to find ways food waste can be cut.
