Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

Simple Changes

Transportation impacted the total footprint the most. Carpooling does not seem like a big deal in everyday life, but it can make a huge change in your carbon footprint. Carpooling emits less CO2 gas in the atmosphere. Conservation of water is also very important. Simple things like turning off the water when your brushing your teeth, turning off the water when washing the dishes, and putting a bucket down to collect water before the shower heats up can help. If everyone does these little things every day we can conserve a lot more water than we do now.

I agree with you Greta all the way about her changes I think we can all make these changes easily and it's a great way to reduce our carbon footprint greatly.

I agree. People like to function on their own schedules but no one realizes how much a small schedule change can impact the world a lot more than they think.
