All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

After calculating my footprint I realized that there are many things that I could be doing to be more sustainable. I could try carpooling or walking to more places. I could definitely try taking shorter showers and be cautious of the amount of energy I am using. I always tend to leave the lights on and keep my phone charger and other plugs constantly plugged in. By taking shorter showers I will be using less water and by unplugging and turning off the lights I won't be using as much unnecessary energy.
Good point, Ariana. I always leave my plugs in and that was due to ignorance. I never knew that it had such an impact on the environment! This is why we need to be educated in helping the environment, people may not know what to do or what they're doing wrong!
I agree! I do leave my plugs in, but now I try my hardest to unplug them. Now I know that it effects the environment in a negative way. Not only carpooling and walking places is good, but also taking public transportation, like a bus each day would be very helpful for the environment.
Hello girls, to have a pro footprint you should improve your transport zone by using a bike for either short or medium distances. A good idea is an electric bike, it is healthy and efficient.
Hi there. I agree with that , leaving the lights turned off and the TV off while your not watching would also be a good idea. To reduce my carbon footprint I always go walking , it is not bad for the environment and I do a lot of exercise.
Same, I need to start thinking about saving energy more often.
I am certain that you can save more energy so keep trying!
I also noticed that I left many electronic devices running while I was not using them. I would often leave lights on even if I wasn't in the room. I now shut everything completely off if I am not using it. My computer is shut down, my phone is unplugged, and the lights are off unless I am in the room. By simply turning off the lights, an individual can reduced their effect on global warming by reducing excess heat.
