All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

Impacts of Climate Change In the Future and What We Can Do

As the climate change’s effects around the world is growing severe each day, many scientists are worried about its impacts on our future generations and environments on earth. Predictions by the scientists say that if people don’t start making any efforts to reduce their carbon emissions, humans will have to face many negative consequences. These negative consequences includes: running short on fresh water for daily uses, the outcomes of high climates, cities getting hit by rising sea levels, and countless species going extinct, as they are unable to find their suitable environment, which will disarrange the food chain, leading to a catastrophe.
It’s a big surprise for me how the public’s not fully aware of these serious threats of the global warming. Many are not acknowledged that our future generations depends on our responses to the climate change. In order to prevent this, the government should try to make many more efficient deci sions, such as taxing carbon, using the power of executive orders to protect the environment, and promoting the dangers of the climate change to the public to motivate them to take “greener” actions.
As I have just mentioned, the public’s choices play the most significant role in climate change. Individuals should try to make wiser decisions on their daily lives. They should try reducing their carbon emissions with simple acts, such as trimming unnecessary wastes, being energy efficient, informing others about climate change and its horrible impacts, buying locally grown foods, etc.
