All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

What I can do to reduce my carbon footprint
Before calculating my footprint, I had no idea how much carbon dioxide was released into the atmosphere just from one plane ride. Afterwards, I have started to be more conservative with my actions but the only thing that I can not change are my airplane flights. I only get to see my grandparents and all of my mothers side of the family about two times per year and visit my sister about once. If there was a way, to make airplanes emit less carbon dioxide, like an electric plane, if possible, then it would have a huge impact.
Matthew I was also surprised when i found out how much one plane ride could do and how much carbon it emitted into the atmosphere. One thing that we could do to have less carbon in the atmosphere is to make an electric plane where to outside of the plane is covered in solar panels so the plane can be charging while in flight and also charged when they are on the ground. That tech is probably a long ways away because planes use lots of energy and it would be hard for electric engine to power the plane.
