Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

We need to do something

In recent years the CO2 level increased a lot, a lot of animals have lost their habitats because of the pollution. If we don't do something now a lot of animals and persons will die

jossebastinnaranjozamudio

Yeah, it's sad to see the decrease of animal populations.

Our class just wrote over 60 letters to President Trump and our Florida State Representatives about Global issues here in the US and Florida.

Ellarie

I definitely agree...and I think it's amazing to the fact that your class were able to write to trump about these issues.

A decrease in animal population would mean a decrease in human population. It's really sad to think that the CO2 levels have increased a lot...

Ellarie

That's true kelly! But don't you think a decrease in animal and population would be wrong?

peel_v-m

I completely agree with you Saul, and I think that much more than just animals are being affected in a harmful way. The polar ice caps are melting at an increased rate resulting in global rising of sea levels. If we don't stop rising CO2 levels eventually many cities and islands will be flooded and become uninhabitable.

kellylbenson

@ellarie It's honestly all wrong.

Saul I agree that we really need to do something about our environment and the levels of co2 in the atmosphere. Since humans have started industrialized and started burning coal they were already putting Co2 and greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere and Polluting it. As the word went on and mankind made more factories and made more luxuries for themselves. I think that in our generation it is time that we think about ways to reduce our footprint and emissions.
