Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

As you probably know global warming and climate change is a huge danger to our planet and the human race. I’m also sure you know that there are a lot of people that don’t think it exists. Many people don’t think it exists, large production companies, politicians, even the US president, the biggest problem is that these people are some of the most powerful people in the world. Take president Trump for example he is the president of the united states and he doesn’t believe in one of the biggest worldwide problems. This wouldn’t so big of a problem if at least someone in the government funded expeditions and experiments to test the theory of climate change, but as we have seen from the article, “The Ice Maverick” Jason Box had to put up a website asking for donations because of the lack of government funding, “That’s when he hatched the idea for Dark Snow, threw up a website and asked for donations to help him fund his research” pg 43.
And other people like producers of materials, like factory owners choose to ignore climate change too. The most carbon emissions come from c hina, one of the biggest producers of material goods, I know this because on an article called “The Climate Map”shows the country with the highest carbon emissions. There is a problem though, the map also shows that East Asia is also at the highest risk to the effects of climate change. So it begs the question why do the big factory owners keep running their factories without making changes to make the factory greener?
