All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Can cars be the problem and solution?
One of the main sources of global warming are cars. Cars, when driven, emit CO2 into the atmosphere. This results in global warming. 87% of day to day excursions in the United States take place in cars. What if there was a car that did not emit CO2? Wait. There is. The CO2 in the atmosphere would go down by a great margin if every person with a personal vehicle owned an electric car. Cars that emit CO2 should be banned and only electric cars should be made available. They should also be made cheaper so it is more affordable for the average middle class individual. This method can not only make it possible for more people to own a personal vehicle, but also greatly impact global warming in a big way.
Although this is an effective solution, it is also difficult to enact. Electric cars are definitely not cheap. Another way to maintain or lessen the amount of CO2 put into the atmosphere by cars would be to make the miles/gallon higher in every car possible. This will reduce the amount of times an average person has to buy gas. More miles for less gas will result in less CO2 in the atmosphere. This in turn, can change the course of global warming for the better.
