All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's Do Something About It
Now that everyone understands that climate change is a real issue, it’s time to act. No matter how big or small your carbon footprint is, everyone can make changes to help reduce their emissions of CO2. If we don’t act now, then there could be some very heavy consequences. Just a little effort can make a big difference if we all try.
There are a few everyday things that we all can do to help reduce our carbon footprint. For example, I’m sure some of you love those long, hot, showers, but you should shave off a few minutes to help reduce your carbon emissions. Also, you should turn off lights in every room that’s not being used. Leaving the lights on is a big waste of electricity. One other thing would be to walk or bike to school if you live close enough, as this can help reduce the carbon emissions from your car.
Now, let’s talk about some of the consequences. If we don’t make an effort now, we will eventually feel the effects. In a video called “CLIMATE 101 with BILL NYE” (https://youtu.be/3v-w8Cyfoq8), Bill talks about how if climate change doesn’t stop, we could end up having extreme weather conditions, as well as having very high sea levels. I’m pretty sure we don’t want that.. So, we should all make an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
