Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

How I can do my part in saving the environment

Although some people may think that no matter what they do to reduce their carbon footprint, nothing will help, they are wrong. Even doing the smallest things like recycling water bottles will help.  When co2 is released into the atmosphere, it causes climate change. While a little bit of climate change won’t harm anyone, too much of it can cause trouble.  I will admit that I have bad habits in terms of my co2 levels produced. One thing that I typically do is leave the lights on in a room and tell myself that I will be back soon enough. Even though I might be back two minutes after turning a light off, every bit will help. Making sure that I always the lights are off when I leave a room is one of the main things I will do to help save our environment.  Another thing I will do to help reduce my carbon footprint is use trash, compost, and recycle bins properly. If random things are thrown into recycling bins, then they will take forever to decompose and more co2 wil l be released into the air. These are just a few small things I can do to help our environment, remember, every little bit helps!
