Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

Different ways

My carbon footprint has for sure increased a lot because of transportation. When I think about it, I am driving to places that are not super far.  To reduce my carbon footprint, I will start walking more often to places rather than drive.  Also riding a bike is a good and fast way to help reduce your carbon footprint. Not driving as often will help reduce the pollution on the planet.

I feel like we all want to make change, but not all of us are actually willing to make that change. My school is only a mile away from my house, so I could easily bike to and from there, but when I really think about it, would I actually ever do it? This could be because our carbon footprints don't really have direct consequences. The harm we inflict upon the Earth with our carbon footprints are more long term effects, so we don't really consider it on an everyday basis.
