All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!
Now It's Time for Action >
What can we do to make a difference?
Reflecting my carbon footprint and researching different methods of emitting greenhouse gases, causes me to make a different. I pledge to do my best to support the environment and cut down my emissions. I will cut down my emmissions by limiting my household's usage of lights, and sorting my trash into compost and recyclables. I have found many ways to reduce my footprint through this webiste https://cotap.org/reduce-carbon-emissions/ . Though these actions are small they will encourage myself to do more for the enviornment and be cautious of my actions and how they effect the Earth.
This is the exact type of thinking we need if we want to make a difference to our earth's condition. Turning off the lights, running the dishwasher only when its full, carpooling with others, less meat eating, and being aware of what you are using and how often you could be emitting extra carbon into the atmosphere are all simple ways of monitoring you carbon emissions.
Yes, you're doing a great job thinking about the small things you can do to help the environment. It's really encouraging for me because I also want to take small steps to a cleaner environment. I think starting now with small steps will for sure lead to bigger ones in the future. I will definitely take a look at the link to see how I can future reduce my footprint.
