All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!
Now It's Time for Action >
Can I change?
Calculating my ecological footprint I realized I pollute a little too much. The factors that contributed the most to this excess are flights and food. Personally I am willing to improve nutrition by eating less meat or off-seasoned foods. However, I am not willing to give up on flights, because I am very lucky to be able to travel and visit the world and I do not feel like giving up on this privilege.
To improve nutrition I need the support of my family because otherwise I would find it difficult to eat healthy while my family members do not. In addition, my mother would not cook or buy different foods just for me.
You could improve the way you choose food, yes, of course with your family support, but you don't have to cut out your flights. A way to improve on this side too, could be trying to avoid excesses. You could move in the cities you visited by using public transport or bike, avoiding plastic bags/bottles, or if hiking always staying in marked trails- you could encounter endangeres species if you don't stick to it!
It is almost behaving as you would do in your country and not doing things trat would rise your CO2 impact (without looking at the flight/train/...). I also found these links useful, if it interest you:

Thanks @timetraveler_0 for your suggestions.
I looked at the links you recommended and I must say that they are very valid, I will take it into account for my future travels.
I agree
It's really good that you are understanding the things that are adding up to a high carbon footprint. I think eating healthy is a good start, but cutting out flights are going to be a big game changer. If you are concerned about eating healthier you should discuss with your family and make them more aware of the problem. With flights, I would suggest you try to cut out excess flights and think about how much you are going to lessen your carbon footprint by doing that.
Interestingly, transportation makes up 28% of greenhouse gas emissions, and flights are only 9% of that, so maybe you aren't actually polluting that much...
Also, about eating healthy, do you mean giving up meat? Farm animals produce most of the greenhouse gases on farms, so I would advise that you start by giving up eating livestock like cows, sheep, etc.
Yes, I believe you can change your eating habits. For instance what I would do is make a case of how it could be a win-win situation for you and your family. Some examples could be like say you've found a healthier alternative for McDonald's where you can order it to your house and they use a superfood in some of their recipes you could say "Mom, I found this app that delivers fresh meals to your house if we do this we won't have to drive to get fast food and this ingredient increases your lifespan by 5 years if you eat it consistently." That's my advice.
