Food & Hunger

What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?

925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Nikolina

Hello! My name is Nikolina. I live in Croatia
I predicted that my footprint would be about the same as the average person in
Croatia, and the world.
Based on my input, my total footprint is 9359 kg of CO₂ per year, compared to
an average of 5736 kg for Croatia, and 3791 kg  8358 lb) worldwide.

Hi Nikolina! I live in the USA and I also thought my footprint would be average, but it turned out to be much higher. A lot of that had to do with my home life and how often I drive my car. What do you think made your footprint higher than the average for Croatia?
