Can we be green without having extra costs?
I think one of the biggest issues right now with trying to limit global warming, is that the measures it takes to do so are extremely expensive. Buying a solar panel system, using wind energy, electric automobiles..etc. are all very costly. I think if the government made the effort to fund some of these things and make the prices cheaper, being sustainable and helping the environment would be a lot more accessible to people of all classes. Now for the things we can do and afford worldwide we should. Simple things like recycling and composting have no negative cost effects and are essential to keeping the earth clean. We should also try to consume less excessive products in first world countries, that we know third world countries need. We need to reduce as a whole in order to provide for all. In conclusion, I think we really need help from the government and the UN on this issue with a lot of funding, otherwise being as sustainable as possible and eradicating poverty at the same time will be impossible.
