Being a responsible consumer could benefit everyone. First of all, being a responsible consumer means that you try your best to buy the products that are produced in your country. The reason why someone would do this is because he or she knows how much of a negative effect exporting and importing have on the world. This negative effect comes from transportation, which is a must when it comes to exporting and importing. If we start buying food that is produced in our own country then the amount or quantity of food and products that are exported and imported will reduce, therefore reducing the need of so much transportation. This would have a positive effect on Earth since less ships, trains, and planes will be needed. This does not mean that someone has to stop buying products that come from other countries, it just means that we as consumers need must attempt to buy more of the products that are made in our country, and less product that come from others. This wil l not only help the environment by reducing the need of transportation, it will also help the country´s economy grow, which means it could also have a positive effect in poverty.

I agree with you andre, right now there's a lot of irresponsibility when it comes down to being responsible but we need to find ways to fix these problem.

Yeah Oscar we need to be more thoughtful when buying products in grocery stores, and try to buy more of our locally grown or produced products. We do not necessarily have to stop buying foreign products, but we should at least try to buy the least possible amount of them in order to help the environment and our country´s economy.
