Food & Hunger

What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?

925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Climate change affects hunger.

Hi, my name is Tina and I am a sophomore at Oakland High. I find it surprising that 925 million people do not have enough money to eat. Over the course of history, we've experienced a ton of climate change. Due to these climate changes, it dries up the crops and the prices of the crops will raise overtime. Also, the more water used to water the crops, the less water we will have over the course of a year. Less crops will be planted and it will worsen people's hunger.

Hi I'm Paulina of Mexico!,
The Climate change is a serious problem as the way we increase our population, we increase our pollution that affect the climate change, we have to think how benefits of saving water and increasing natural food production helps the cycle of the world.
