Food & Hunger

What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?

925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

The most valuable resource on the planet is water. Bottled water is imported from thousands of kilometers away, making it doubly harmful to the environment by the contamination produced by the transfer. In rich countries, more people consume hundreds of liters a day while in some poor countries do not even have access.

Hi Pau! What you are establishing is a good point, but I think that you're missing some important points. Like what happens if the water starts to come polluted and have some bad effects on people. I would like to know more about these problematic.

P.S, What are your proposals for problems like these?
