Community gardens also help feed the homeless and lower income families, and brings together neighborhoods, overall making it a more safe place to be. When you know everyone, you know when something's wrong and will be more willing to help if something bad happens, making the neighborhood more safe. Also, gardening is proven to relieve depression and make you live longer, let alone eating local organic food that you and your neighbor grew.
