What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Don't Waste Food
Have you ever went out to a restaurant, eat your desired dish, ask for a box to bring left overs , go home and never touch for a month? Stop wasting food! That is good food that you are going to bring home. If you do not wish to eat it later on, I suggest to give it to the homeless. If you see a homeless person on the corner and is hungry, help them out and give them the rest of your leftovers.
Not only do we waste the food we take home; restaurants waste so much food when things go out of date, or someone's order was wrong which really needs to change.
I've never taken food home and not eaten it within the next day but I do sometimes waste food at home when I am not hungry
Eat all food you get be thankful for all food your given.
I feel like if you know you aren't going to be able to eat all that you order, order something else.
I completely agree with you! instead of throwing good food take it home and eat it later or give it to some one else that needs it more than you. I think restaurants should be allowed to give food that is leftover to homeless people or people with low resources.
I agree with you food is something that some people don't have and we are wasting it. 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. We should not waste food and only order the amount of food we will eat.
