What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

World Hunger
It really is not impossible to solve world hunger. Just to put the numbers into perspective, the cost to end world hunger would be about $30 billion US dollars. This sounds like a lot of money (because it is) but the US spends $737 billion on defense alone!!!!! If multiple countries really committed to working together, the problem could be solved.
and in some ways if we don't solve world hunger, we are going to have a greater climate crisis: more deforestation, more refugees etc.
