What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Hunger Change
In the United States 40% of our food is wasted. Meanwhile others around us are starving for that food. I believe we need to change the amount of food we waste by a lot. We can start by not putting so much on our plates and put on our plates what we know for sure we will eat. Another way is to instead of throwing it in the trash give it to a homeless person or someone in need. If you want to hold on to your food and not share with others, you should start with shopping more realistically and smarter. Understanding 925 million people on earth don't have enough to eat, we need to make a change and stop hunger.
