What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

possible cures for hunger
many people are suffering from starvation. As a community i think people should who are able to help should come up with food to give to people in their neighborhood in need.
I agree. I think that there should be more public vegetable gardens so homeless people can have health food to eat. It is important that homeless get food and more importantly nutritious food.
I agree also. I think that people who are more privileged, should help other people more by providing healthy foods to those who can't afford it. We shouldn't be wasting any food because there are other people who could eat it instead.
It's a big problem in our country when healthy organic food costs so much more than processed unhealthy food. If the government taxed those unhealthy chemicals then they might find a more reasonable source.
Since many food is wasted due to deformity or discoloration of the food, I believe that deformed food should still be sold in grocery stores and given to the people who are in need of food. It shouldn't matter to people what the food looks like, as long as it tastes good and does not deplete your health. Since 33% of the world's food is wasted every year, I believe that selling non-perfect food is a great way to end world hunger while helping the environment.
I agree as well. I believe the rich should help the poor because if they were the poor they would want to be helped also. Me myself I try my best to donate money when I see people in need but I feel I can do better and that's my goal for 2017.
