What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Active Actions against the Global Warming
In my opinion, all the actions such as "use electric cars" or "don't charge your cellphone" are palliatives. If the problem with global warming is serious enough to take worlds' minds, we should treat it this way. What I mean is to make these little changes like shorter showers and carpooling become more global, especially in the United States, since it is one of the world's worst C02 emitters.
The perfect way (and also impossible) to do it is for UN to discuss the global warming with all its countries-members and to make UN members-countries to pass a set of laws that would greatly decrease the CO2 emissions caused by humans by simply including all these little "steps" of stopping the global warming into these laws. I understand that this will never happen, but humans can make this idea happen. If you are really worried or concerned about the problem of our world becoming a boiling pot, make these rules a law for yourself.
The global issues are solved glob ally, so every country, state , region , city and even person should participate in anti-warming movement to stop it. Join the movement if you care about the world where your descendants are going to live!
I definitely agree with this idea! Taking small steps such as reducing our showers, carpooling, or using electronics can be the first steps to a huge impact. If the government doesn't enforce some changes, it should begin in schools and communities to perform these small steps. The more people to participate in the changes can create a bigger movement outside their county or city, and can possibly make it a movement or change in their state. These actions should include walking to short destinations, short showers, replace your lightbulbs to CFL lightbulbs, install solar panels, reduce waste, etc.
I agree with what you have written, but I think that rather than change actions we are already taking, like driving cars, we should participate in new things altogether. Even with things like taking shorter showers and carpooling, cars are still being driven and water is still being pumped. A good solution to the first problem of driving cars is to develop more public transit. Taiwan, for example, has developed lots of high-speed rail and public transport, and as a result, has only 322 cars per 1000 people as of 2014. Compare this to the U.S, where there are little good public transport options and a staggering 797 cars per 1000 people. Drastic changes like this will make emissions plummet, but also make it easier to travel long distances in big countries like the U.S. As a result of this, fewer people will have to use planes, thereby reducing carbon emissions.

I agree with you that we should limit our shower times and driving to prevent the spread of CO2 but, also we should use more solar powered things instead of burning fossil fuels and other things that release a lot of carbon.
I agree with you and your ideas, but every small thing counts. If everybody does a small thing it is a start to make a change. There will be a change. If people start making small changes others will notice so in result bigger changes are going to be made, so every change counts.
