What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Food and Hungar
First, It is very important to eat three meals a day in order to provide your body with the nutrients it needs to be able to conquer your day. Eating healthy is very important in keeping your body healthy. Eating various fruits and veggies allow you to get the much needed vitamins you need for your body to function properly. Protein from meat, milk, etc allows you to keep your body full of energy for long periods of time. I understand that some people are not as fortunate to eat food whenever they please. For this reason, I try to not take my food for granted. When I am at school I take home the food I do not eat and when I am at home we save the food we do not eat and use for leftovers.
I agree with you that food is very important to our body because food can provide us nutrients. Our body needs healthy foods to keep our body healthy and strong. I try not to take food for granted because like you, I know that people are less fortunate then us. Thats why I try to compost and save food for leftovers.
