What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Food & Hunger
From the carbon calculator, I learned two things: I eat a lot and I don't buy local or organic. I am going to start to try eating more locally and organically. As I'm feasting in America, I know there are millions starving in other countries and in my own country. There needs to be a greater effort to help others and I plan on being part of the solution. I need to monitor the amount of food I intake and eat cleaner, going vegetarian or vegan is a choice in the future also. I think we should help other countries by sending food over and helping their economies.
