Food & Hunger

What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?

925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

I learned that healthy choices make an impact not only on me but my environment. If we had to make a policy on food, it should be to control the amount of "bad" food for the environment that we can buy. This can alleviate world hunger by leaving healthy options as well as not taking all the bad.

I agree that our food choices make an impact on ourselves and our environment because depending on what you eat and the containers you use you could leave a huge footprint or a small one.

I agree. I think that if we eat healthier food, we can help ourselves and our environment live a healthier lifestyle.

I agree. If we eat healthier we can help out the environment and that is super important.
