What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

why do food companies have to put food in plastic and then another plastic.?
they use plastic because perhaps it's the low-cost method, but they don't consider the damage
I think they use plastic becasue it is easy to buy and also it is very cheap so manufactures but it to pack their food. But, I don't think that they should use plastic becasue people litter and that could get into the ocean and that could harm the animals that are living in that area in that point in time. Also, using plastic could affect children too. It could affect them becasue if a child is playing with plastic that came off of a ground turkey package then the small child could swallow the plastic and mabey die.
