What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

saving the world in just a few bites
Recently my class watched the documentary called Conspiracy (you can watch it on Netflix). Basically they talk about how agriculture is the biggest contribution on greenhouse gases. In class I also learned that reducing/cutting out beef can help with greenhouse gases. If you ever notice in a bunch of other film they say that if all of us stop eating meat that we would significantly reduce greenhouse gases. So as a suggestion we should all reduce and try to cut out beef, and yes i know that its hard but we should all try anyways.
