My Family Footprint Past and Present
In the past, my family footprint has been a bit bigger because we never carpooled, never ate locally grown food or organic food, didn't manage electric and water usage, and only used plastic bags to carry our food once. Now, we have decreased our family footprint even though we travel further distances each year. We have managed to lower our power usage. We also carpool to sports or school events, created a garden in our yard with vegetables that are eaten daily in the house. http://www.epa.gov/epahome/home.htm gives some suggestions to save energy and other things to help the environment.
